OSL Cambodia 2014

Every trip abroad is always an eye opening trip for me. This time round, I had the opportunity to join in the Overseas Service Learning (OSL) journey to Cambodia. We spent 5 days at Kampong Thom - a village 5 hour ride away from Phnom Penh.

These two men are Mr. Chenda and Mr. Bun Tieng. They are men full of aspiration and had inspired me to contribute further to communities with my limited means. Mr. Bun Tieng devoted much of his time, effort and money to providing free English lessons to the village students who do not have the opportunity to attend school as they have to help out in farm to earn a living for their families.

My room for 5 days in Kampong Thom. Too good, too comfy for us. Love this place lots.

This bunch of students helped out at the construction of the volleyball court and the kitchen. They were really happy while working and they worked really hard together with us. They received us with so much warmth and love. When we left, many of our students became really emotional and cried out loud in the mini van.

This is an orphanage at Phnom Penh where students went to cook up a lunch for the children, from scratch!
