I brought some students to the Willing Hearts on 4th November 2014. I was glad to be able to spend some time reading up on the non-profit organization so that I could share more about the organization with my students before the trip. It serves lunch daily to over 4000 needy people in various corners in Singapore. It functions purely based on volunteers who help to prepare the meals. In addition, they provide bread and water to foreign migrant workers every Friday, and also other services to the needy people in Singapore.
A briefing was conducted before and after the activity.
The students were able to have lunch at the centre after their work has been done.
The students embarked on different tasks allocated according to the centre's needs. Many were busy chopping up ingredients and cleaning the utensils.
