On 26 April 2014, OneConnect organised a Movie Screening with the aim of bonding families and the West Coast Community while participating in fun activities and watching a movie together. West Coast YEC participated in the event as facilitators to ensure the smooth running of the activity.
We began duties at West Coast Community centre at 7.30am to set up the registration desks and mark the attendance of the participants. The YEC then traveled with the participants to the event venue on the buses provided. After the opening ceremony of the event, we were off to the various game stations and facilitated the giving out of station clues to the participants. The participants were grouped according to different families and residents of the private estates in West Coast.
After the games, the participants and the volunteers enjoyed breakfast together at the foyer of the Golden Village cinema at Vivocity. After which, everyone gets to enjoy the screening of the new movie Rio 2. It was a successful event as the participants were able to spend a great Saturday together and had a great bonding time with their family members.
